RWS is seeking a native Uyghur reviewer with expertise in IT translations to support one of our most significant information technology clients—a top global brand 

This freelance opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with our Linguistic Services team and the Translator Community to achieve and maintain the required translation quality level for Uyghur content.

 

You would work on our project as a Language Owner (LO), your primary responsibility being the performance of Linguistic Quality Assessment (LQA) reviews. Additionally, you may handle other occasional tasks, such as processing external LQA feedback, answering translators’ queries, and implementing global term changes.

  

About the job

  • Regular freelance review work: You’ll review highly technical IT content, including a mixture of software and support materials.
  • CAT tool access and training: Enjoy free access to CAT tools and receive training as needed.
  • Scope: The content primarily covers online documentation for cloud products, development tools, AI, and related topics.  
  • No hand-offs:Claim projects at your convenience and deliver them directly through our platform.
  • Independent work with peer support: While working independently, you’ll be part of a team of peers who can share knowledge and support each other.

Responsibilities  

  • Proactively claim jobs in the online platform provided 
  • Perform Linguistic Quality Assessment (LQA) reviews of translations
  • Provide objective evaluations and feedback on linguistic quality based on the expectation set for the respective quality level
  • Identify early warning signs of quality degradation from individual translators

   

Requirements  

  • Language skills: Native Uyghur speaker, near-native fluency in English 
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or Translation
  • Experience:
  • At least 3 years in IT translations (software and support content).
  • At least 3 years in delivering evaluations/LQAs.
  • Knowledge of the localization industry: Familiarity with localization processes and terminology management.
